Lose the Laptop? Are You Crazy???

When I was approached for the Lose the Laptop campaign, at first I thought, sure, why not? Since I currently do not have a data plan attached to my phone, I thought using a phone with Internet and e-mail access was going to be great fun. But then it started sinking in. Gulp. No big screen. No big keyboard. No big words to read. Yikes!
The new HTC Tilt 2 arrived to my home with great anticipation. I love a new toy! After I had played all the new games (I'm a new fan of Sudoku now!), I set up and synched my email, contacts, and calendar. Phew, it set up easier than I thought it would.
Friends of ours asked us if we would like to go with them to go see Garth Brooks in Las Vegas in August. Hmmm, let me think about that....ah, yeah! Using the HTC Tilt 2, I checked my calendar to ensure my calendar was clear. Check. Then I searched Google for "garth brooks tickets las vegas." Uh oh. I saw the message from Ticketmaster that they currently do not have any tickets for sale. Not to worry, apparently our friends were able to get a special deal through Wynn, where Garth is performing. There's still hope. A quick surf over to Wynn.com shows me that there is room availability for August. OK, things are looking good again.
Will we see Garth Brooks? Will we be able to afford the rooms at the Wynn? Will we find a babysitter? Stay tuned.....
