Not Your Father's Toilet

I just returned from the PCBC (Pacific Coast Builders Conference) in San Francisco. PCBC is a West coast trade show that showcases various products essential in the process of building a home. I attended the conference to report on home technology for my new website, TheWellConnectedHome.com.
I spoke with Whirlpool, GE, Moen, and others - and saw some pretty neat things. But I was curious - what new innovative technology could I find in an unusual place?
I found that unusual place in TOTO's toilets! You would not believe how far toilets have come. TOTO's top of the line toilets now feature a power cord. TOTO's Neorest line sports a built-in bidet with water pressure adjustment and heated water. After the warm spray of the bidet, a press of the remote control (which mounts on the wall) starts the warm dryer to ensure you're drip free. With this toilet, toilet paper is a thing of the past. Think of the money you'll save when passing on the Charmin!
Do you have "debates" in your marriage about putting the seat down if it's not being used? TOTO believes these toilets are "marriage savers" as the seat and the lid automatically close after flushing.
But wait, there's more! TOTO has thought of everything. Wanting to protect the dignity of their clients, TOTO has incorporated a mp3 player in their Neorest 600 toilet. Should the toilet user require sound privacy, they can simply press a button to chose between a simulated toilet flush, crashing waves, or even imported mp3's. Waalaa! The end of the party poopers! (pardon the pun, I couldn't resist) Now that's a toilet!
I love having my Tilt2 phone handy, it helps to satisfy my curiosity with my momentary obsessions. I couldn't believe that I had never heard of this toilet before so I did a quick Google search to see what I could find. Forbes named the Neorest 600 toilet one of the
10 Trophy Homes Must Haves. Will Smith believes the Neorest "does all the work for you," in this
ACCESS HOLLYWOOD clip on YouTube. Cameron Diaz, Brad Pitt, and Jennifer Lopez apparently have a Neorest too.
For those of curious like me, you're probably wondering the cost of such a royal throne, right? TOTO told me the Neorest 600 retails for over $5,000. However, amazingly, I found the Neorest 600 for $3,400 with free shipping from
HomeClick.com -- a website I found through Amazon.com. I just love Amazon! Find out more how to use
Amazon on your smartphone -- and don't leave home without it.

@wellconnectdmom. Please vote for me, I'd really appreciate it. (A shameless plug I know, but hey, if a toilet can have a plug, why can't I???) :)
