Juggling for the Holidays
Working at home can be a crazy ride. My Pure is helping me take video and photos of what I'm working on, so I can quickly email them and not have to take the time to upload everything.

Typing on the Touch Screen
I was worried about using the touch screen to type, but it's working out OK so far.

Tethered to the TV
I am a big TV fan. I multi-task in the evenings, watching TV while I catch up on research, correspondence, and a variety of other tasks. Tonight I was out and about running errands when I realized that the President's address was going to be on and would likely preempt my evening shows. After a moment of panic, I remembered that I could program my DVR remotely, so I logged in via my HTC Pure and made sure to pad my recording time for a certain favorite dancing reality show.

Running a Small Business
In my "spare time" I am an independent sales rep for the children's book publisher, Barefoot Books. I decided to take a look at how the HTC Pure could help me with my business:
1. Store MP3s of our sing-along books and CDs so I can give customers a preview.
2. Access a list of out-of-print items at events or on the go.
3. Quickly mail information on current sales, becoming a sales rep, etc.
4. Store lists of books by country of origin, author, artist, age group and topic for quick reference.
5. Keep in touch with members of my team via phone and/or email.
6. Respond to inquiries on the go.
7. Map out possible events.
8. Take pictures of my booth displays.
9. Use the built-in calculator for adding up orders and sales tax.
10. Use the calendar to track events.
Shifting to resources on my phone save me from carrying stacks of papers, doing additional follow-up and can help me sell product. Can't complain about that!

Black Friday Shopping with HTC Pure
My sister and her friend look forward to Black Friday every year. They pore over circulars and map out a plan for how to get the deals they're looking for. I decided to think about how the HTC Pure could make Black Friday shopping easier. Here's what I came up with:
1. Browse the online circulars at any of the popular Black Friday shopping sites.
2. Maintain a list (via Notes) of the items you want to buy, or take pictures of the paper circulars and keep the list in the photo album.
3. Use a browser to compare prices to make sure you're getting the best price possible.
4. Use MapQuest or Google Maps to map out a route with all of the stops and use the turn-by-turn directions to navigate.
5. Store your favorite music on the Pure to listen to while you're standing in line.
6. Take a video of the other crazy people standing in line with you.
7. Text your friends (or call them) to ask them to pick up extra items at the stores they're shopping. Send a picture so they get the right thing.
8. Use the calculator on the Pure to make sure you don't spend more than you've budgeted. Voila! Quick and easy Black Friday shopping. Now if only you didn't need to get up at the crack of dawn...
