Updating Facebook On The Go
Last night my first PBS special "Reinvent Yourself Now: Become Self-Reliant in an Unpreditable World" aired in Arizona. I was in the studio during breaks in the program to help raise money for PBS. It was an exicting evening and I was able to use my phone to update my Facebook fan page. During the evening, I submitted several photos with updates regarding what was going on behind the scenes. It was fast and easy. I didn't have to worry about having an Internet connection because the 3G service on the phone was all I needed. I'm including one of the photos from the set. Notice some of the volunteers answering phones were from the Phoenix Police Department. It was nice of them to donate their time to help KAET-TV Channel 8 in Arizona.

In the Recording Studio & No Laptop
Monday I had to record some new audio CD programs for my new PBS special. I prepared and printed notes in advance of the session, but I knew already had one topic completed as a Powerpoint presentation I'd given a few months earlier. So I reached for my laptop, but stopped myself. Here's a test for the Tilt 2 and my ability to lose the laptop, I decided.
I connected my phone to the computer and saved the presentation. When I got ready to record, all I needed was to open the file and I was set. Of course, everyone in the studio was intriqued by the phone so they took turns checking out its features. Because I'm not usually ahead of the curve when it comes to technology, it was fun showing off my new toy.
